Global Water Center
In 2013 HKS completed the construction of this $21 million complete renovation/construction of an existing warehouse building, HKS is the developer, leasing agent and asset manager of this project. The Global Water Center is the International headquarters for The Water Council. This one-of-a-kind facility is cutting edge and houses major corporations, University research, and start-up companies all working in the water research/technology field. The building is approximately 98,000 sq ft and offers features such as a flow-lab, auditorium, state-of-the-art conferencing, executive offices, and lounge areas. This project was financed using MDA bonds, New Market Tax Credits, and Historic Tax Credits.
311 E CHICAGO STREET Office, Condo & Retail
In 2007, the principals of HKS Holdings, LLC and Weas Development completed the redevelopment of 311 East Chicago, a mixed-use Office Condo and Retail Development in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The Project, a 93,000 sq ft former industrial building, was converted to four floors of Class A Office Condos, and 1st floor retail.
153 N MILWAUKEE STREET Office & Retail
In 2009 the principals of HKS Holdings completed the redevelopment of 153 N Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The Development features 15,000 sq ft of Class A Loft Office Space, and 21,000 sq ft of 1st Floor Retail. The Building received Silver Status by the USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The Building also received a 2009 Mayor’s Design Awards. This project was partially financed with historic tax credits.
NEXT DOOR PEDIATRICS Children’s Hospital
In May 2011, the principals of HKS Holdings, LLC and KBS Construction completed a Children’s Hospital medical and dental facility called Next Door Pediatrics on the northeast corner of 29th and Wright, in Milwaukee, WI. The project featured 7,600 SF of medical office space, partitioned into two sections, the dental facility and the medical facility.
